Audio Gets New Life at GGC Life Church

It's the first step of a staged upgrade process, the first being the Quest HPI 110s and a new mixing desk to match the new PA. The next step as soon as possible is powering the system with new QA amps and a pair of HPi212s . With the first outing of the new HPI-110 satellite boxes as the front of house system, the comments followed a stream such as:

"The step up in quality is 1000 x better - actually it can’t even be compared with the old system. We didn't realise how good this space could sound."

Sound check with the new PA was a pleasant surprise

Leo Nicotra is the pastor - "It sounds the same everywhere in the room! It doesn't change hardly at all side to side and front to back." The church had previously experienced lots of problems with hot spots and the front few rows getting blown away and a complete lack of intelligibility towards the rear of the hall.

This is thanks to the asymmetrical HF projection of the system where the acoustic energy goes where its wanted, not to where it will exacerbate the acoustic problems the room has.

All were surprised by the small size when they came out of the box and even more surprised with the output. The visual improvement is excellent.

GGC are particularly thrilled with the outcome already – “can't wait to get the HPI subs and amps in there too...
